Every Last Drop

She drained each beer bottle until the very last drop, But afterwards the amber bottles were oddly still full, For the bottle sucked more of her than she could from it,  So the beer bottle drained, every last drop of her soul.  -anna sluder 

The Swarm in Her Heart

Her heart was like a humming bumblebee hive,  Whirring feelings like bees in their nest, No wonder she never knew what to believe or to feel, For all she could hear was their wings pulsing against her chest. -anna sluder 

Insomnia

She's had years of insomnia in her mind, Thoughts that won't be anything but awake, Buzzing against her skull to be let out, So it can find what is out there to fill their unspoken ache.  -anna sluder 

Measure of Love

He wanted to know what he could do, To make her love him once again, But how could she know the exact measure, Of the love that she had for him then?  -anna sluder

I feel as though I am an incomplete sentence, Always aiming without an actual throw, No climax, only suspense, Always a prelude to the show. -anna sluder
