Covered in Dust

Anything shaken in the light, exhumes millions iotas of dust So perhaps we are all as aged as metal that rusts  For even if we are just born, still young, still gold,  Perhaps it is our souls that are irrevocably old.  -anna sluder

All that She Sees

The walls yellow with age  she saw yellow with sunshine Like the spotlight on the sky's stage A shard of light we cannot define  And the soil bare of life  she saw as a bedrock for things to bloom  Just like a lone man can still find a wife  Anything that can grow can always find the room. -anna sluder

Hush

Morning wakes to Skies silent of birds Soundless of suns Quieted of clouds Etherized of winds And all the other places too Where bones rattle with the silence  And desolation of strife  For we are all quieted too By the numbing of this life.  -anna sluder
