Let Me Love, Let Me Sing

My heart is bursting   I love you I love you I love you As if it could ignite into butterflies and bees  And spout wildflowers out of its mouth And there is so much sunshine in me meant for you That I could scream I love you I love you I love you  Lift my voice over the mountains and the wind and the rain And howl like some primitive beast For I love you I love you I love you  Now my wildflowers, Let me sing this song to you.  -anna sluder

Goodnight

Goodnight my loves I pray you have star sprinkled dreams That soar to the heights of doves  In that warm place before asleep and awake where everything is more tender than ever seemed  -anna sluder

The Bees

All the dreamers All the passionate ones  The idealists, visionaries and star-gazers  Have a little sprinkle of madness A world turned upside down in their head they can escape to Where insanity is normality, where we all smash our fists into the glass of mirrors And wedge our bleeding fingers under the edges to yank off of the backing Searching for that something or someone staring at us behind the glass too A place where we aren't the only ones catching clouds in butterfly nets  And cutting people open to grab the songs in their bellies  But instead we are here where normality is never normal and a little bit of wild is tamed with drugs and shame  And when all the dreamers are on their deathbeds screaming "I see it! I see the light!" with warmly crazed eyes And all the people will shake their heads at the chaos stirring in us Whispering "Its okay," to the children afraid of us "All the bees go crazy before they die."  -a
