Paperweight Poetry

This hand is an old hand, wrinkled and worn with love, Helping the fallen people stand, These feet are indelible feet, who'd walk miles and miles for you, Whether it is continents or paths of just a few, These eyes, are warm eyes that see you as whole and new, Even when you don't want me to, This heart, is a beating heart that pulses to the songs of the trees, That breathes and sighs this world's harmony, I am, who I am just as you are who you are, This soul, is my soul and it is made of the stars.  -anna sluder

Today she breathes stardust And tomorrow she will breathe flames She is as infinite as the constellations that never rust And as vast as galaxies without names.  -anna sluder 

The sky blushes pink, embarrassed cheeks coloring red And I squeeze everything beautiful into one gaze  This is the last moment until I only see the darkness within my head  Until I will bump into thoughts and walls, the world as a new maze  So I drink in the pink sunset like strawberry flavored pop And I wait for the nothing to come, the absence of light, the none  Waiting just dreading for my eyes to stop  Three, two, one.  -anna sluder

Infinity cries when it looks at you and me, wishing it was as endless as my love for you... -anna sluder

Mere mortals falter at the sight of our love so whole,  For it burns down forests and stirs hurricanes across our lands,  The skies part and the ground shakes to the pulse of our souls,  In the blinding light of our hearts, mere mortals cannot even stand. -anna sluder

The cold that seeps into the marrow of my bones Isn't from the outside for it's a sunny day It is from when I touch your skin In every kiss, in every word that you say.  -anna sluder
