Timeless Stains

When I was little
I danced in the meadows
And got grass stains down my middle
Knowing I could clean it though
I saw the stain down and below
And wished mama could never know
When I was eighteen
I danced for men
And got a stain that wasn't exactly green
Between my legs again and again
I saw the stain down and below
And once again I wished mama could never know.
