Wild Waves

Foam tided waves encircle my feet,
Like ankles in chains they then roll away,
Dragging my soul across sanded white heat,
Underneath sheets of waters, I still feel shackled to stay
But we are too swayed like the waves of the ocean
For I to refuse and grasp the seaweed upon the shore
So I surrender my thoughts, my fears, my notions
And amble into the water, wondering who this is all truly for
For I or for the wild heart strings of the sea
Do I let the last recesses of my mind go
But perhaps we aren't to know at the first dive, but to the first break to the surface, the first break to be free.
